HOUSTON (CBS Houston) – Jesse Gonzalez, a Houston firefighter, came up with one wild way to propose to his police officer girlfriend, according to KLTV.

Gonzalez, with the help of two Houston Fire Departments and the Houston Police Department, put on a fake fire in the area his girlfriend is assigned to.

The station reported that both agencies worked together.

Olga Peck arrived at the house with the garage door open and smoke from a smoke machine coming out of it. “Marry Me” by Bruno Mars played as Gonzalez walked through the smoke to her and proposed.

Peck said yes.
