This is something that we’ve seen before, but it never gets old. Posted to YouTube on April 23rd, it shows Astros relief pitcher Jerome Williams playing catch in the outfield before the teams April 22nd game with the Seattle Mariners in Seattle.

Williams tosses the ball back and fourth with the little boy, identified in the Youtube description as “Hawthorne,” for about a minute in the video. It seems like the game of catch started before that, but the two seem to be having a good time just tossing the ball back and forth. At one point Williams throws the ball hard into the padding of the wall below Hawthorne as a joke.

A great job by Jerome Williams for making a kids day.
