The woman took off after firing a gun at windows and parked cars. No one was injured in the incident.

Police haven’t released her identity or said what charges she may face since the investigation is still ongoing.

KTRK-TV reported that a similar situation occurred at the studios in February when a person opened fire in the station’s parking lot striking parked cars and the ABC13 sign. No injuries were reported and no suspect was arrested in that case.

Surveillance videos did, however, film the suspect’s car and it appears to similar to or the same car the suspect who was arrested in today’s incident.

An eyewitness is being credited with helping police catch the suspect.

” We want to thank Jeff Tobin, the alert eyewitness who heroically took photos while shots were still being fired, which helped police quickly apprehend the suspect,” a KTRK spokesperson said in a statement. ” We are grateful to Houston Police Department for their fast response, that no one was injured and the ABC-13 staff is safe and sound.”
