HOUSTON (AP) — Two oilfield workers have been killed after a piece of industrial equipment touched a live power line.

Houston police say the accident happened Monday afternoon. Officials didn’t immediately release names of the two men who were electrocuted.

Houston Fire Department Capt. Bruce Greenberg says other workers tried to help the victims. The two men were transported to a Houston hospital but could not be saved.

Police say a crane suffered minor damage in the accident.

Further details weren’t immediately available.
