Astros greats Roy Oswalt and Lance Berkman want to retire together, both are nearly life time Astros and key parts of the 2005 World Series team that ultimately were swept by the White Soxs. Astros owner Jim Crain at Mondays Media Luncheon shared that the two want to retire as Astros together on the same day “I think we got a date picked already to honor him (Lance) and Roy”. When it does happen Crain says it will be a fun night and hopes the stands to be packed to honor the two.

Berkman played for the Astros from 1999 to 2010, in the 2010 season he was traded to the Yankess. He The spent the next two seasons with the Cardinals before finishing his career with the Rangers.

Oswalt played with the Astros from 2001 to 2010, like Berkman he was traded in the 2010 season to the Phillies where he spent two seasons. He finished his career pitching a season for the Rangers and the Rockies respectively.
