Houston (CBS Houston) - Johnathan Joseph’s status with the Texans is unclear. However, the 29 year-old cornerback’s health picture is becoming more clear. Joseph joined Texans All-Access on SportsRadio 610 to discuss his recent toe surgery.

“I’m doing great actually. Taking a day at a time. Week by week.” Joseph said.  “I’m finally out of the crutches now”

After spending about a month on crutches he’s now walking around and going through the rehab process.

“I’m just trying to get myself back to 100 percent.” Joseph said. “It’s about a three month process and I’m right in the middle of it now.”

The ‘three month process’ puts him on track for OTAs, but he doesn’t plan on pushing it.

“We have plenty of time looking ahead,” Joseph continued. “I want to be smart about it and not have any setbacks.”
