Houston (CBS Houston) - In the immediate aftermath of the Richard Sherman/Erin Andrews post game interview, Kevin Harlan had some tough words for Andrews on CBS Radio.

But with time to reflect, Kevin Harlan told Sean Pendergast & Rich Lord live from Radio Row on Friday, he wishes he had thought about what he was saying.

“Erin is a pro and I should have given more thought to the situation that she was in, which was incredibly uncomfortable,” Harlan told SportsRadio 610. “What people don’t realize is that she’s got people talking in her ear, the director and people in the truck and there’s just a lot going on.”

In his initial comments Harlan said Andrews looked unprepared and acted ‘drama queenish‘. On Friday he struck a different tone.

“I was incredibly unfair with what I said and I wish I would have thought more,” Harlan said. “I shouldn’t have said what I said. It was wrong.”
