Rockets lost on Friday night to the Memphis Grizzlies 88 to 87, the night however had a lone bright spots and its name was Chandler Parsons. Parsons set a personal career high in three pointers made and set a few other records during the loss, including a Rockets record for consecutive three’s made and an NBA record for three’s made in a half.
Parsons was on fire in the 2nd half against the Grizzlies “I was pretty much unconscious, my body went numb, I never felt that feeling on the basketball court before” Parsons said trying describe the 2nd half he had. Parsons had 0 threes in the 1st half but in the 3rd quarter he was able to make two three’s in pretty quick secession and after the 3rd made three Parsons admitted he was “feeling good”.
The Rockets consecutive three’s made was previously held by Kenny Smith during the 1990-1991 season and it took Smith 8 games to set that mark. Most three’s in a half was an NBA record last held by Deron Williams who did it with the Nets last season against the Wizards
