CISCO, TEXAS (AP) — A 21-year-old West Texas man remains jailed after his arrest for allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young girl.
Clayton Lee Fought has been charged with attempted capital murder, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping.
Sgt. Bryan Witt of the Texas Department of Public Safety said Monday that the 11-year-old girl’s father called Eastland police about 1 p.m. Sunday to say his daughter was missing, along with his pickup truck.
A couple of hours later, authorities responding to a tip found the girl in a wooded area at Lake Cisco. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Fought, who Witt says knows the girl’s father, was in Eastland County Jail on Monday with bond set at $3 million. He had no attorney as of Monday.
