Bill O’Brien Fires All Assistant Coaches; Crennel Expected New Coordinator

It’s going to be a complete housecleaning at Two Reliant Park, the Texans headquarters which already bear the indelible imprint of new head coach Bill O’Brien.

O’Brien, according to Fox Sports’ Alex Marvez, has fired all of the remaining assistant coaches from the Gary Kubiak era.

Marvez reports that O’Brien met briefly with all the assistants, but it was just to let them know they were no longer going to be working for the Houston Texans.

According to the Fox Sports reporter Romeo Crennel is to be named the Defensive Coordinator, also Brian Ferentz from the University of Iowa and George Godsey a former Patriots assistant coach will be added to the staff as well.
