Police: 2 Women Arrested At Jay Z Concert After Stealing Man’s Tickets, Nearly Dragging Him To Death

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) — Two women were arrested at a Jay Z concert after police say they stole a man’s tickets and nearly dragged him to death when he was trying to sell them.

The Houston Chronicle reports that the Houston man met with Denitra Green and Cessica Darden on Dec. 15 about selling his tickets to the Dec. 19 Jay Z concert at the Toyota Center.

Harris County court documents indicate that Darden told the unidentified man to meet her in the Starbucks parking lot because she had a child in the car.

According to KHOU-TV, when the man leaned into their car, Darden grabbed the tickets while Green sped away with him partially inside the car.

The man was hanging onto the speeding car while he was being repeatedly kicked. The man eventually fell from the car, breaking one of his legs, his right hand, and left arm. He also suffered from a torn right knee and severe road rash.

He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he will require plastic surgery for his injuries. The Chronicle reports that he will also have trouble walking do to his injuries.

Police were able to locate the 20-year-old women after witnesses wrote down their license plate and they, along with the man, were able to identify them a photo lineup.

Police arrested the pair after finding them at the Jay Z concert in the seats the man was trying to sell.

Green and Darden have both been charged with aggravated robbery. According to KHOU, Green is being held on $30,000 bond while Darden is not in custody.

The name of the man was not given.
