Houston (CBS Houston) – With less than two weeks left in their season the Texans have decided to place running back Ben Tate on injured reserve, effectively ending his season.

Tate broke four ribs against Kansas City and had been playing in pain since. Saturday’s 25-3 loss to the Colts could be the last time Tate suits up as a Texan. He is a free agent at year’s end. When he was recently asked if he wanted to stay in Houston, he wasn’t very optimistic.

“That’s a tough question to answer. I can’t say, ‘No, I don’t want to be here,” Tate Said. “But I can’t say I do want to be here, because they invested in Arian.”
