OKLAHOMA CITY (CBS Houston) - A local man was arrested after his girlfriend discovered videos of him touching her 12-year-old daughter inappropriately while she slept.

The videos were found when the man, identified as Christopher Whibbey, told the girlfriend that he had lost his cell phone, KWTV 9 is reporting. A friend of the 38-year-old woman found the phone soon after they spoke, and began to peruse its contents.

It was then that they both discovered a video stored on the phone’s SD card that showed him touching the girl in her sleep, and performing a sex act.

The woman, who was not named, called the police and turned the SD card over to them.

“There’s very damming evidence in this case. It’s video evidence,” Oklahoma City Police Capt. Gary Knight was quoted as saying by KOCO-TV. “It apparently depicts the suspect performing some type of a sex act upon the victim.”

Authorities additionally noted that, when Whibbey arrived at the woman’s home and saw police speaking with her, he immediately turned around and put his hands behind his back so that he could be handcuffed.

After his arrest, Whibbey was taken to the Oklahoma County Detention Center and charged with lewd acts with a child under 16.
