As Executive Director of the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL and the color analyst for the Alabama Crimson Tide radio network Phil Savage is uniquely qualified to not only break down the BCS Title race, but also provide an expert opinion on which of the many NFL-headed quarterbacks is most ready for the league – and has the most upside. (Keep in mind Savage also served as General Manager of the Cleveland Browns for three years, and nine years in the Ravens front office.)

Phil has some great news for those looking for a title game to rival the 2006 (2005 season) match-up between Texas and Southern Cal. Phil also addresses the rumors that Nick Saban will leave Alabama for Texas after the season. He also has some bad news for those that think Johnny Manziel’s college success won’t translate to the NFL.  He joins Brien Straw and Nate Griffin for this week’s INSIDE COLLEGE FOOTBALL podcast - which also includes a valid rant (In Brien’s not-so-humble opinion) about Urban Meyers’ crying because his Ohio State Buckeyes will likely be left out of the BCS Title game.
