GALVESTON, Texas (AP) — A Houston-area man caught with more than 100,000 images and videos of child pornography has been sentenced to nearly 14 years in prison.

A federal judge in Galveston sentenced 73-year-old David Paul Roetcisoender of Pearland.

Prosecutors on Wednesday announced the penalty for the Texan who in August was convicted of possession of child pornography and distribution of child porn. Investigators believe Roetcisoender had been collecting child porn on computers and other electronic devices since the 1990s.

Pearland police discovered some child pornography videos online and traced the items to a computer used by Roetcisoender, whose home was searched in June 2012.
