Houston (CBS Houston) – After the Texans 27-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals Ed Reed made headlines for saying the Texans “got outplayed and outcoached.”

On Monday players and coaches reacted to Reed’s comments.

“Everybody has their own feelings about what’s happening. They have their own ideas about what’s happening or didn’t happen. We try to keep everything in-house. That’s our policy here and that’s what we try to do and that’s what I’m going to do.” Interim Head Coach Wade Phillips said.

“That’s his opinion. I can’t control everything that goes on. All you can do is do your job and everyone has to take a look at themselves and see what they can do better.” left tackle Duane Brown said.

“Evidently it was something he may have seen or a way he may have felt, that’s pretty much it. He’s been around this game a lot and he’s seen a lot so maybe it was something he had seen during the game.” Andre Johnson said.

The soft-spoken wide receiver seemed to understand why Reed said what he said but also made it clear he wouldn’t have gone about it the same way.

“I don’t make those calls. I don’t control that. I only control what I can so you have to go talk to the people upstairs about that. I don’t worry about that I just run the plays that are called.” Johnson said.

Reed also took to twitter after the game to vent.
