Houston (CBS HOUSTON) – Arian Foster is done for the year. NFL.com is reporting that Arian Foster will miss the rest of the 2013 season and will undergo back surgery.

Foster hurt his back in last Sunday’s 27-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts and had hoped to avoid having surgery on his lumbar.

Foster missed the entire pre-season battling a back issue and also missed time this season with a bad hamstring, but he had started every game in the Texans 2-6 campaign so far.

Ben Tate, who is battling cracked ribs, will be the starter the rest of the year.
