STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES — Chargers travel cross-country on short week. Coming off 19-9 win against Indianapolis on Monday night, Chargers head East on Friday, getting extra day to recover from long flight and acclimate to three-hour time difference. Coach Mike McCoy won’t allow team to talk about it or worry about it, but QB Philip Rivers says “obviously it’s real in the sense of you can’t deny what the clock says, but I don’t think it’s an issue unless the team allows it to become one.” … Rivers ranks second in NFL in passer rating (108.7) and is on pace to top best season (105.5 in 2008). … Chargers TE Antonio Gates will make 150th career start Sunday. … Chargers CB Derek Cox returns to Jacksonville after spending first four seasons in River City. Jaguars traded second-round pick to select Cox in third round in 2009. … Believe it or not, winless Jaguars trying to avoid distractions for second consecutive week. They were 28-point underdogs last week against Denver, but played relatively well in 16-point loss. Now, players and coaches are preparing for Chargers and making logistical plans for weeklong stay in London; team leaves Monday. … Jaguars expect to get TE Marcedes Lewis back from nagging calf injury. Lewis, who injured calf in preseason, has missed five games. He tried to go against Indianapolis three weeks ago, but aggravated injury on third play. … Jaguars C Brad Meester will play 200th game, becoming 61st offensive lineman in NFL history to reach milestone.
