During the Houston Texans 38-13 loss to the St. Louis Rams on Sunday Houston native Vince Young offered up his services at quarterback to his hometown team.
The Texans lost their starting quarterback, Matt Schaub, in the third quarter to a leg injury. And while Schaub didn’t throw an interception for the first time this season and he didn’t throw a pick-six for the first time in four games, his replacement T.J. Yates threw two INTs and one was returned for a touchdown.
The ex-Texas Longhorn great posted on Twitter “Let them know VY is in shape and ready to go! I always loved my birth place and everyone who lives in it IM READY”
With Matt Schaub hurting his ankle during the game and TJ Yates throwing yet another pick-six could a Vince Young pickup be something the Texans could use, even if only to keep fans in the seat.
Fans since Young came out have wanted Vince Young at the helm of the home town team and now could be as good as any time to see him do his magic.
Vince Young’s career record as a starter is 31-19 and Matt Schaub is 46-41.
Is it time for VY??
