HOUSTON – (CBS Houston): Owen Daniels had two MRIs Monday night on hi fibula but they won’t know how long the Texans Pro-Bowl tight end is out until sometime on Tuesday, Sportsradio 610 and The Houston Chronicle’s John McClain is reporting.
Daniels hurt his leg in Sunday night’s 34-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers after catching six passes for 60 yards to lead the team in receptions.
Garrett Graham, the Texans three-year veteran and back-up tight end, will get the start against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday at Reliant Stadium.
Depending on what the MRI’s say Daniels could be placed on the the injured reserve with the designation to return.
Daniels is second on the team with 24 receptions and 252 yards, behind only Andre Johnson.
Rookie Ryan Griffin will be promoted to the back-up roll behind Graham.
