SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Emergency responders in San Antonio who answered a call about a possible drowning found a baby’s body wrapped in wet blankets and in his crib.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office says a cause of death was pending Tuesday for 9-month-old Michael Sanchez. Police say the body was discovered Sunday night by someone in the home who called 911.
No charges have been filed. Further details on the caller weren’t immediately released.
Police are investigating whether the mother on Sunday visited an amusement park and told a friend that her baby was in the care of someone else.
Child Protective Services says the mother had completed parenting classes and therapy in a neglect investigation involving her three sons. The other two boys were placed with CPS following the death.
