HOUSTON (CBS Houston) – Dwight Howard hasn’t been out to any Houston Texans games since becoming a member of the Houston Rockets, but maybe he wants to join the team as a quarterback?

Talking to reporters after practice on Friday Howard addressed the issues Matt Schaub has had the last few games for the Texans.

“I haven’t,” Howard said of making it out to see a game. “But I heard they’re looking for a quarterback.”

Howard and reporters all got a chuckle and Howard was quick to point out directly to Schaub he was just joking.

“I’m just kidding. (Laughs).  Matt (Schaub), Matt it’s just a joke.  The Texans are my team.   They’ve started off a little slow but it’s not how you start it’s how you finish.”

Well, it looks like the 6’11 NBA Superstar wont be making the jump over to the NFL.  But it does show that the struggles of Schaub are out there for everyone to poke fun at.
