Houston (CBS Houston) - Andre Johnson has been around for a long time. He knows the name of the game, especially after a loss. So when Matt Schaub threw his third pick six in three weeks, Johnson wasn’t surprised to hear questions about his faith in Matt Schaub.

“Of course he’s going to (get) all the criticism but I mean, you can blame it on me. There’s a third down play I didn’t make.” Johnson said after the Texans 23-20 loss to the Seahawks. “You can’t really just point the finger at one guy. This is the ultimate team game.”

If anyone has earned the right to criticize, it’s Andre Johnson. He lead the team with nine receptions for 110 yards on Sunday. But just because he has the credentials to criticize, doesn’t mean he’s going to. Not only did Johnson stand behind his embattled quarterback, he refused to envision a scenario where he wouldn’t support Schaub.

“We’re a pretty tight group. We know we need everybody in this locker room to get accomplished what we want to get accomplished. So if you’re in this locker room we have faith in you and when you’re out on that field we have faith in you.” said Johnson.

Johnson is the consummate professional and is showed after Sunday’s loss.
