Texans rookie Wide Receiver DeAndre Hopkins has never been one to shy away from a big game. He’s certainly not about to now.
With the Texans facing the undefeated Seattle Seahawks and their top ranked defense in Week 4, Hopkins sees opportunity. ”They’ve got a great group of DBs,” Hopkins said. ”I’m always up for the challenge.”
Hopkins is likely to draw Seahawks CB Richard Sherman most of the game. Sherman was second in the league in interceptions last season with 8, when he was named a 1st Team All Pro. Sherman also has a reputation for being a big trash talker.
While Hopkins isn’t a big talker, he isn’t intimidated, either. ”I’ll let my play show for itself,” he said. ”That’s the best way to quiet someone who’s talking.”
Hopkins is second on the team with 18 receptions for 243 yards and a touchdown so far this season, with a team-leading 14 catches for first downs.
