SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A San Antonio-area man has been sentenced to 225 years in prison for raping a woman three times in one night at his home in a case linked to social media.

Jurors in San Antonio on Tuesday sentenced 25-year-old Aaron T. Alvarez of Helotes (hel-OH’-tis). Alvarez was convicted Monday of three counts of aggravated sexual assault.

The three 75-year terms must be served concurrently in cases involving one woman held captive and attacked in November 2009.

Prosecutors say Alvarez used social media to meet and lure women to his home. He awaits trial on two other aggravated sexual assault cases — in 2010 and 2011.
