Houston (CBS Houston) – The Texans will visit Ed Reed’s former stomping grounds this weekend but an ailing hip stands between Reed and a rematch with his former team, the Ravens.

Despite being a game-time-decision the last two weeks, Reed has yet to make it on the field.

“We were very very close yesterday, I can tell y’all that. It was a long conversation but we thought we made the right decision” Gary Kubiak said Monday.

Kubiak did indicate that Reed’s chances to play are improving.

“Let’s take it a day at a time, let’s get there first but I think, everything is, the arrow is pointing way up right now ” said Kubiak.
