Houston (CBS Houston) – Another week, another game time decision for Ed Reed. Just like last week, Reed is inactive.

“It was close today.” Texans General Manager Rick Smith told Sports Radio 610. “He’s chomping at the bit to get out here so I will expect him to be out here pretty soon. We just felt like today was just better for us to keep him down.”

Many have circled next week’s game against the Ravens as a potential return date. Shiloh Keo will start in Reed’s place.

“(Keo) has made some nice plays for us obviously, even in special teams with the fake punt.” said Smith
