Houston (CBS Houston) – With Antonio Smith returning from suspension the Texans needed to make a roster move to get down to 53 players. On Tuesday they placed rookie tackle David Quessenberry on injured reserve with a broken foot.

The sixth round pick out of San Jose State impressed coaches throughout the preseason before going down last week. After his injury the Texans brought back tackle Nate Menkin, signing him to the practice squad.
