SPRING, TX (CBS Houston) – A lone suspect has emerged from the investigation into school stabbings at Spring High School, outside of Houston.

The 17-year-old suspect is being questioned by the Harris County Sheriff’s office and is considered the sole suspect in the killing of one teenager and injuring three others.

Two other individuals had been questioned, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s office, but were considered “persons of interest” at the time and are now considered witnesses to a crime.

Charges have yet to be filed, but people 17 or older are considered adults under Texas criminal law.
