GALVESTON, Texas  (AP) — A guilty verdict has been returned in the trial of a Houston-area man who prosecutors say possessed more than 100,000 images and 2,000 videos of child pornography.

A federal jury in Galveston found 72-year-old David Paul Roetcisoender guilty of distribution of child pornography and of possession of child pornography. The Pearland man was found guilty Tuesday following a two-day trial.

A Pearland detective testified that pornographic images found on the Internet were traced to a computer used by Roetcisoender. A subsequent search of his home revealed thousands of additional images. Prosecutors say he admitted to downloading obscene material since the 1990s.

Roetcisoender is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 13.
