Texans enter the last preseason game against I-45 north rivals the Cowboys (America’s team). The Texans after winning the 1st 2 preseason against the Vikings, and Dolphins, dropped the most recent game against the Saints. Very few if any starters will take part in this game with the Cowboys, so what 5 players are worth watching during the game.

Devier Posey
After a torn Achilles in last year’s playoff game against the New England Patriots, it was almost a lock we wouldn’t see Posey for a LOOOOONG TIME. Months later Posey is set to be ready for week 1 against the Chargers, this will be his 1st experience of the preseason so we will see how he looks after a bad injury.

Case Keenum/T.J. Yates
So the coach would tell you the backup QB job is up for grabs, but really is it? Granted Keenum has looked great this “preseason” but T.J. Yates hasn’t looked horrible and is still the only 1 of the 2 with real game experience. Keenum however will get the start against the Cowboys.

OLB’s
This is the real battle of the preseason, the position will more than likely be the hardest cut on the team. It is unlikely all 4, Trevardo Williams, Sam Montgomery, Willie Jefferson, and Justin Tuggle will make the team. So which ever guy play’s the worst gets cut.

Running backs
Deji Karim has seeming won the 3rd string backup role, but the battle between Dennis Johnson and Cierre Wood is the battle for which guy will make the practice squad.

D.J. Swearinger
In practice has looked great, in games….. Not so great, he is a great example of a guy that could use as many rep’s as possible before week 1.
