HOUSTON, TX (SportsRadio610.com) – Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith will miss the final two preseason games and the first regular season game of 2013 for the defending AFC South champions. The NFL has denied his appeal to the three game suspension he received for swinging a helmet at an opposing player.
Pro Football Talk is reporting that Smith will not take the field for the Texans until week two of the regular season.
Smith will not be able to participate in practices with the team until the suspension has been served. But the nine year veteran will be able to attend meetings while he is barred from taking the field.
