HOUSTON (SportsRadio610.com) – Houston Astros rookie catcher, Max Stassi, was released from the hospital Thursday after being hit in the shoulder and face by a pitch in the 8th inning of Wednesday nights game against the Texas Rangers.
X-Rays and a CAT scan taken Wednesday night revealed no facial fractures for Stassi. The 22-year-old was kept over night, but will be returning to Houston to undergo concussion tests.
The Astros are off Thursday and start a weekend series against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays Friday at Minute Maid Park.
