Houston (CBS Houston) – DeAndre Hopkins left last Saturday’s game against the Dolphins with a concussion.

Before Hopkins can return he must clear a five phase protocol per the NFL’s concussion policy.  As of Thursday Hopkins was still in phase one.

“He feels about the same so obviously he is not going to play this week.” said Kubiak

The first round pick was  the star of training camp and the pre-season before going down with injury. The rookie is expected to be a major contributor for the Texans this season lining up opposite of Andre Johnson.
