Vice President With Son In Texas For Medical Tests
WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is in Houston while his son undergoes medical tests after experiencing weakness and disorientation last week.
Beau Biden, the Delaware attorney general, is undergoing tests Tuesday to determine what caused his symptoms.
A Delaware Department of Justice spokesman says the younger Biden, who suffered a mild stroke in 2010, began experiencing the new symptoms after driving to Indiana for a family vacation. The 44-year-old was admitted to a Chicago hospital then traveled to Philadelphia to consult with his doctor.
The White House says the vice president had been home in Delaware and accompanied his son to Houston. It’s not clear how long the vice president will remain in Texas, but he’s still scheduled to join the president in Scranton, Pa., later this week.
