With only 296 days until the World Cup in Brazil, FIFA officials have released the Official World Cup Emblem.

Designed by a Brazilian design agency, Africa, the emblem features three hands -depicting victory and union- raising the most recognized sports trophy in the world.

According to a FIFA press release, the hands “depict the uplifting humanitarian notion of hands interlinking” and the yellow and green hands represent the Brazilian people welcoming the world to their land.

Over 125 submissions were received.
