ESPN is reporting from a league source that the NFL will suspended Houston Texans Defensive End Antonio Smith for the final two preseason games as well as the first regular season game for swinging a helmet at Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incagnito.

Smith has been punished before for an incident with Incagnito last season.  Smith was fined $21,000, which was reduced to $11,000, for kicking Incognito in week 1 last year.  Smith claimed he was retaliated for having his ankle twisted by the Dolphins lineman.

Smith has yet to talk about the incident, only saying after the game that he “took a blow to the head. I can’t remember.”  Smith was not flagged on the play.

The Texans play the San Diego Chargers to kick off the regular season, in San Diego on Monday Night Football.
