HOUSTON (CBS Houston) On Monday, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a substance was sprayed inside of a Harris County Walmart store, which prompted an evacuation of the store over the weekend.

“HCSO deputies responded to a scene around 9:45pm on August 18, 2013 at the WalMart located at 3506 S SH 6,” confirmed HCSO officials. “Two suspects entered the store and then sprayed an unknown substance inside the store. Walmart employees and customers were evacuated from the store. Three customers were transported to West Houston Hospital. HazMat arrived on the scene and inspected the store.”

Although HCSO officials stated that a substance had been sprayed, the substance had not been identified at the time of this report.

“The two suspects fled the scene and have not yet been arrested,” added HCSO. Authorities further stated that an investigation into the incident was ongoing. If anyone knows the identity and/or location of the suspects in the case, please contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
