The Packers have signed QB Vince Young to a one year contract after a tryout in Green Bay earlier today. Young was cut after a 3 game preseason stint with the Bills last year. He had tried out for the Raiders this April, but was not signed.

After winning the national title at the University of Texas in 2006, Young was drafted 3rd overall by the Tennessee Titans and named rookie of the year. He was released in July of 2011, signing a one year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles the next day.

In his 6 year career, Young has thrown for 8,964 passing yards with 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions. He’s rushed for 1,459 yards and 12 touchdowns.
