Houston (CBS Houston) – Eric Winston’s free agency waiting game has come to an end. The 29-year-old tackle has agreed to a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
There had been speculation that the Texans could be interested in Winston to solidify the right side of the offensive line but he dispelled that notion on Wednesday.
“It’s not that I wouldn’t want to come back but it just looks like they’ve moved on and that’s okay.” said Winston.
Winston, a third-round draft pick of the Texans, spent last year with the Kansas City Chiefs after being released by Houston in 2012.
