HOUSTON (CBS Houston) – KPRC announces Thursday, that former Texans offensive lineman Chester Pitts will join the station’s sports staff.

Pitts will begin his new duties Sunday and anchor the Friday sportscasts beginning July 26, which also is the beginning of Texans training camp.

He will also contribute to “Sports Sunday” and to the Monday sportscasts during the NFL football season.

 

 

Pitts began his NFL career right here in Houston, being drafted by the Texans in the second round as the 50th overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft.  He played eight of his nine NFL seasons with the Texans before retiring after the 2010 season.
