HOUSTON (CBS Houston) The Harris County Sheriff’s Office charged a suspect in the alleged kidnapping of two children in what they are calling “an apparent custody dispute” this week.
According to officials with the HCSO, 26-year-old Jeremy Teel faces charges of aggravated assault on a family member after firing a weapon.
“Deputies responded to a disturbance at the Timbers of Inwood Apartments after the mother reported that Teel had pointed a shotgun and fired it above her head. He then forced her to give him the two children, where he then fled from the apartments,” stated officials.
“Sheriff’s deputies located Teel a short while later and took him into custody. He would not tell the investigators where the children were, but later that evening; deputies were able to locate the children safe and sound at residence,” added officials.
The Harris County Sheriff’s office also added that Teel is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 19, 2013.
