HOUSTON (CBS Houston) CBS Sports is reporting that the Houston Rockets have traded Royce White to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The website also reports that “[the] Rockets will trade the 2012 first-round pick to the 76ers for future draft considerations. The move is obviously an effort to clear cap space off of the Rockets’ books as they make their move to sign Dwight Howard. As the 16th pick in the 2012 draft, White was set to make about $1.7 million next season.”
In addition to White, the Rockets will send an international prospect as well as cash considerations.
“White constantly was at odds with the Rockets last season as he dealt with anxiety issues that caused problems in figuring out how to best accommodate his needs,” CBS Sports added.
White who was the 16th selection of the 2012 NBA Draft, previously played college basketball with the Iowa State Cyclones basketball team starring for the 2011–12 Cyclones.
