HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Firefighters battled a massive fire at a hotel under construction near Cy-Fair Tuesday morning.

Reports indicate that the blaze broke out at a hotel that was unoccupied located on Hempstead Highway near FM 1960.

Upon arrival, fire fighters found the structure almost fully engulfed in flames. As a result, the building eventually collapsed. Everyone at a Best Western next door was evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Fire crews reportedly experienced issues with supply lines that caught fire but eventually put out the fire.

Additional reports indicate that at least one firefighter suffered burns on the neck while battling the blaze. That firefighter was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. The cause of the fire was not disclosed at the time of this report. There were no additional injuries reported.
