HOUSTON (CBS Houston) According to reports on Sunday, an Arizona forestry official stated that 19 firefighters died battling a wildfire.

Forestry spokesman Art Morrison stated on Sunday that the firefighters fought the fast-moving wildfire Sunday afternoon near the central Arizona town of Yarnell. Those same firefighters were also forced to deploy their fire shelters.

Officials implemented evacuation orders of 50 homes in several communities about 85 miles northwest of Phoenix with those evacuation orders expanded to include more residents in the town of Yarnell.

Additional reports indicated that several homes in the community of Glenisle were burned; there were no injuries or deaths reported from that area at the time of this report.

About 200 firefighters were fighting the wildfire.

The blaze also forced authorities to close parts of state Route 89.
