HOUSTON (CBS Houston) During Thursday night’s NBA draft, the Houston Rockets selected Murray State guard Isaiah Canaan with the 34th overall selection .
Canaan who is a two-time Ohio Valley Conference player of the year, went on to lead Murray State in scoring in each of the last three seasons. With scores in the double figures in all of his 31 games last season, Cannan’s averaged 21.8 points, 4.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game. He also scored more than 2,000 points in his four-year career with the Racers.
Cannan will join current Houston Rockets James Harden, Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons.
