HOUSTON (CBS Houston) According to officials, a drug bust at a rural land plot  in Central Texas led to the confiscation of approximately $5.25 million worth of marijuana plants.

Officials with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office stated that deputies seized about 3,500 marijuana plants on Wednesday.

This is not the first time officials have seized marijuana plants from the field; authorities stated that Wednesday’s bust was the scene of a previous bust.

The field in which Wednesday’s bust happened, was the same 150-acre site in which thousands of marijuana plants had been confiscated earlier this year. The site sits between Chappell Hill and Washington.

Washington County’s Sheriff Otto Hanak stated that there have been no arrests in the latest bust and that the plants that were taken on Wednesday were possibly planted at the time of the previous seizure that took place in March. Authorities were alerted to the plants after a property tipped off deputies.
