Three Injured After House Explodes

CICELY MITCHELL, CBS Houston

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) At least three people were injured including an infant, after a house exploded in Montgomery County Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the trio was taken by Life Flight medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center after the home they were in exploded.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a call just before 9 a.m. about a fire at a home along FM 1486 in Dobbin.

The home which was located near the intersection of FM 1486 and State Highway 105 was the site of a thorough and detailed investigation by the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office Tuesday, after it exploded.

The Texas Railroad Commission is also expected to arrive to assist in the assessment of the incident. The Texas Railroad Commission is an agency that regulates propane as well as propane storage.

As officials worked to determine what caused the explosion,further reports stated that among those injured were two women as well as an eight-month-old infant.

There was no word on their conditions released at the time of this report.
