HOUSTON (CBS Houston) New England coach Bill Belichick has a new member to his squad and it is famed football player Tim Tebow.

CBSsports.com adds that Tebow will report to mini-camp this week.

“On Monday, the team also announced it had released quarterback Mike Kafka, leading us to believe that Tebow, in fact, will play quarterback for New England. But according to CBSSports.com‘s Mike Freeman, that’s not necessarily true. According to a Freeman source, Tebow instead will study mostly at tight end,” adds CBSSports.com

“And for good reason. There happens to be a future Hall of Famer named Tom Brady as the No. 1 quarterback, and backing him up is Josh Mallett, who New England seems to like quite a bit.”

Tebow previously played quarterback for both the New York Jets and Denver Broncos. He played college football for the University of Florida and went on to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007. Tebow was chosen by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
