Officials Search For ‘Memorial Weekend Bank Robber’


HOUSTON (CBS Houston) The FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a man who robbed the Wells Fargo Bank, located at on Blalock in Houston over the weekend. This week they released a surveillance photo of the suspect.

“At approximately 10:35 a.m., a man entered the bank and approached the teller counter”, stated the FBI. “He presented a threatening note to a teller demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he ran from the bank on foot. No one was physically hurt.”

Authorities describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 6’ tall and between 170-180 pounds, with a goatee. “He wore blue denim jeans and a black tee-shirt with white and red print,” added officials.

Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of the suspect or any wanted suspect. “If you have information about this crime, please call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 713-222-TIPS (8477), or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000,” added authorities.
